What comes to mind when you hear ‘fine arts’?
First thing that came up on the web is “the study and creation of visual works of art”
So does this mean painting an original composition? Or something? I’d like to study a bit of this in college and my guardian said “no, I don’t think you have the talent for that”; art is my life so she pretty much stamped on my pride, and I truly believe that I have talent. :/ I’m definitely going to a school where I can take a course in the fine arts but what does ‘fine arts’ mean to you?
You don’t need to be capable of making beautiful works of art, as your guardian probably thinks. All you need is an opinion, idea or passion. They guide you, not the art.

To average joe – its just a chair, with a photograph and paragraph next to it…. he’d rather a nice wall painting in a coffee shop! Its the concept that makes this interesting. You need ideas, not ‘talent’ in the traditional sense.
