blonde hair with bright pink highlights + chlorine, what will happen?

I have blonde hair and I am planning on getting bright pink/majenta highlights in my hair, but seeing as it is almost summer, I will be swimming soon, and I am afraid of the effects chlorine will have on my hair color.
ps. I dye my hair myself at home
