Collage Sheet

I have a question for an artists out there regarding gel medium..?

I am working on a collage piece and I am applying an archival decorative paper (like the type they sell at Michaels in single sheets). I’m applying it to wood but I’ve noticed that the paper is starting to buckle. My question is….will it dry flat. Thanks.

It probably won’t dry flat now that it is starting to dry. Are you using liquid gel medium or paste watered down? I would use liquid gel, once paper on the board use a rubber brayer to smooth out any wrinkles, then weight the board and paper with another board and books piled on top.
