How to unzip a .ZIP folder?
I think I’m doing this wrong. I right click on the font folder (I’m currently working with fonts) and then click Extract All. The “Extraction Wizard” program pops up and I click Next and Finish. (or something along those lines) but the icon is still a folder with a zipper on it. A few have changed in regular-looking folders.
What am I doing wrong? >_<
When you extract your fonts you select where on the hard drive you want to extract them to. But the zip file will always remain zipped with a copy of the fonts. The action of unzipping out the files never gets rid of the zipper on the file.
So let’s say for instance that you created a folder called “MYNEWFONTS”. In this case you would extract your fonts from the zip file into MYNEWFONTS folder.
Then you have to install the fonts you want.
XP:
control panel, fonts, file/install new font, then browse to your folder MYNEWFONTS and select the font and install it.
VISTA:
control panel, appearance and personalization, fonts, file, install new font, etc
