Trying to identify this glass bead?

I brought these beads from Michaels and loved them. The package only said that its a glass bead. I want to know what type it is. Its looks like you took sand and smeared it inside of clear glass bead. I hope that my fellow beaders can help me out. I have attached a link below showing the necklace:
