How do you fix high heel marks in wood floors?

Ok, so I had a party not too long ago, and a number of girls wore high heels. I was asking people to remove their shoes, but some wore them anyway, and now there are little circle marks on my pine floor. Any ideas on how to get them out?

If they are compression marks you should be able to steam them out but be cautious about damaging the finish in the process.

Pine is a soft wood and will mark. Some people install pine instead of a hardwood for just that reason as the charm of pine comes from the “character” of the wear.

If you can’t get the marks out don’t worry. Soon there will be other marks and they will all look like they belong.

I do sympathize with you. It is a sinking feeling to realize that your pristine floor is marred.
