My dad has an old leather holster with C.S.A. stamped on it, wondering where to look for info on it?

It has .45 C S A stamped on it, and below that it has 5 1/8 B stamped on it. Wondering if it did come from the Confederate War and any other info on it. I believe C. S. A. stands for Confederate States of America.

Yes, that’s what CSA stands for Confederate States of America and they did carry Colt 45′s in the Civil War. It might be a good thing to hold on to. I would look for some collectors in your area and show it to them. Civil War Antiques Preservation Society might give you better advice on authenticating it (1-866-750-3502). I believe they have authentication services. That stamp sounds like a good bit of information you would want to give them. I would get more than one opinion.
