Lion Fun
what is so awsome about kingdom hearts? is it fun?
is that the game were you can be disney characters and anime people? do you actually get to move the lion from lion king and stitch around, like, play as them? how fun is this game?
I, personally, despise the series. The camera angles in both games are very tedious, the storyline is predictable and boring {as the game is geared toward very young players}, and the battle system is nothing to even shake a stick at.
When I played KH1, I did so on hard without dying once. I didn’t have to cast any spells or summons. The great Sephiroth, one of my favorite villains from the FF series, was supposed to be very hard, yet all you had to do was get behind him…
So, when I played two {I was reviewing it for a local zine, they paid me to play it}, I tried it on hard again. Of course, it was still too easy, I didn’t die, I didn’t use any spells.
Characters were bland, all the FF characters having been completely divorced of their original back stories to be sloppily thrown in with a few Disney characters. Voice acting was pretty good for Donald and Goofy, past that, it was just sad.
Finally, the storyline was very thin, unable to conceal the numerous plot holes. With no good fighting to fall back on {and a very silly weapon you have to use, a giant key}, there’s not many redeeming qualities. Thinking back now, it was more worthwhile to sell the games to buy the first installment of Digital Devil Saga.
I’d suggest these RPGs instead, assuming you’re looking for something you can play on your PS2:
Final Fantasy VII, IX {especially if you enjoy a more old-school style}, X
Digital Devil Saga I
Xenosaga I {only if you don’t mind lots of long cutscenes}
