Can you temporarily change your hair colour using jello mix?

My son has crazy hair day at school tomorrow and he wants to have his hair a crazy colour or two.
I don’t want to go buy anything, is there a way to use something at home like jello mix or kool aid?
If you can do this how do you do it and does it come out easily or not? Any other ideas for crazy hair day?

Those are options but they stay in for a long time. They sell punky style gel at most beauty supply stores or salons. Basically it is gel with color in it. When you wash out the gel…..the color washes out as well.
