How to fix a broken picture frame made of glass?

Okay, well i ordered this for my cousin for Christmas. I ordered it like way before Christmas and it just got here!!! I look inside to make sure its fine and a part of the frame is cracked!! Like completely fell apart cracked!! I’m pretty positive that i can put it back together but, i just don’t know what kind of products to use on it! Are there products out there professionally that can help diminish the cracking and fill in the cracked gaps? Please don’t ask me to send it back! I bought it from the Murano glass company in Venice, Italy. I was there a few years ago and witnessed the creation of the glass picture frames. Its absolutely perfect!! I don’t want to send it back and ask for a new one when it might come back in the same condition. Any ideas?? Thank you!!

Firstly getting glass from Venice, I dont suppose it came cheap…so you are entitled to a full refund if its damaged on arrival.

They need to be told if their products are being broken in transit, otherwise they cant fix the problem they’re obviously having.

It could be the post (if you in the UK it probably is, they’ve completely lost the ability to get anything to its destination in one piece, Im afraid) but it could also be their lack of the correct packaging material.

If you dont wish to send it back I would suggest you email them and ask what their proceedures are. They may well send you a partial refund, and pay to have the thing fixed.

If you paid for a photo picture frame then THAT is what you are entitled to get. If you’d paid for fragments of glass wrapped in bubblewrap it would have been a lot cheaper. You have to work out which way you want to go.

There are ‘SUPERGLUE’ products out there, to fix glass to glass.

Personally Id go for a refund after paying the large amount of cash that you have already paid.
Plus the fact, if you START to fix it, then find you cant, you will ruin your item as well as your chance to return for refund or fixing by them, cos the ‘warrenty’ will disappear and you will have given them any ammunition they need not to help you.
Again, your choice.
