is it true that you can copy profecional portraits by putting a piece of black construction paper on back?

My aunt told me that when she gets her kids portraits done at a studio she only orders a few pages and then goes to a photo machine like at Walmart and scans them with a black piece of construction paper on the backs of the pictures. the reason you need to do that is cuz there is a special thing in the paper that wont let you scan it. Would this really work??? Thanks

No no no. That is silly. Do you think if you put a 20 dollar bill in a copy machine, you would be able to cut it out and spend it? Of course not. Copying photo’s with a copy machine may seem like a good idea too, but you would have to be half blind to not notice the difference. It doesn’t work with black paper behind it or any other odd idea that is mentioned, not because there is something in the paper that prevents it or something– — this is a strange question.
