Do you use other dies on your die cutting machine?
I want to replace my Quickutz hand tool with something more substantial, a revolution perhaps, are any die cutting machines able to use another manufacturer’s dies ?
Can you use quickutz dies on any other machine other than the revolution ?
The Revolution is a very good choice. The range of dies is not as wide as I would like but there are new ones coming out every month. If you are using die-cuts a lot particularly alphabets it would be better to save up and buy the Quickutz Silhouette. This is over £200 but it is like a printer you hook up to your computer and you can cut any font in any size your want and it will also cut clip art and scanned images and there are various other things you can do like making all the letters join together. As a set of alphabet dies can cost over £100 this is much better value. You only need to buy a replacement blade when needed and there are optional downloads you can buy.
You can use other manufacturers dies in some instances. You can get a special convertor to use Sizzix dies in Quickutz machines and I have used some Wizard dies as they are. I will be interested to see what other answers you get.
