Quilt Top
I have inherited already made quilt tops that are not assembled correctly. Should I start over?
These quilts were assembled with no regard to color or pattern. Should I take them apart or simply finish them as is?
If these were put together by a family member, I would finish it the way it is. It is the memory not the perfection.
Many quilts were made of worn out clothing or with the fabric scraps they had on hand. So they did the best they could at the time. They did not have the luxury of the time it takes to make things perfect.
Now my Mother was a perfectionist and tried to bring the two together. So everything she made was perfect.
