Rag Rug

How do you make a simple rag rug from recycled materials such as socks?

I have a bunch of socks with holes in them, torn t-shirts and so on… It seems like a waste to just throw out the stuff. I was thinking how my Mom used to have rag rugs made of strips of fabric and I suspect that a rag rug made of socks and t-shirts might make a good bath mat… Anyone know how to make one of these with simple and in-expensive materials?

Hmmm…depends on what you consider simple…
All you’ll pretty much need material-wise is a sewing machine or needle & thread for most ideas.
