What is the average price for a red rose?

My girlfriend is going to be in an upcoming play and i would like to surprise her with a rose at the end of her performance. I’m 14 so i can’t afford something too exprensive. I just want to know the average price to buy one red rose.

Many supermarkets around here also have flower shops, check the local prices I suspect that a single rose should be under $4.
