I just finished a counted cross stitch Baby Afghan from a kit & don’t know what to do with the edges. ?

The kit suggests fringing the edges but is that appropriate for a baby afghan? If so, do I fringe all 4 sides? How long should the fringe be? What do I do if I don’t fringe all the sides?

I have crocheted dozens of afghans for gifts and for myself. And the general consensus is that they hate fringe. It is pretty, but it tickles your nose, your toes or sheds or WHATEVER……

I would suggest folding under a tiny edge and mattress stitch around the edges. Use a highlight color from the design and go all the way around. It really has a nice effect on a cross-stitch blanket.
