Whats a good toy that beginners can knit?

I want to knit a toy for my friends birthday but most of the toys i search on google look really hard, i can purl and knit, does anyone know a good toy that beginners can easily knit.

The easiest toy would be a block. Knit 4 squares and then sew or knit them together. You can either embroider a number (age) or a picture using a contrasting yarn. Then you can stuff each one. Make a few of them. You can also make a doll out of the squares. Make a smaller square for the head, a larger one for the body and rectangles for arms and legs. Use your imagination.
